I think delicious is a great way to introduce people to one another in a class by looking at kinds of things that are tagged. There were interesting tidbits revealed about people that weren't present in their formal introductions! Moreover, social bookmarking in some ways creates a peer support network where each student contributes useful resources for the benefit of others. Over time, those tagged items will also serve as the collective memory of the course community.
